20 June 2022, Coomera - Joint Venture partners Keylin and Kinstone Group have lodged a Development Application with Gold Coast City Council to deliver a Private Hospital and Comprehensive Health Precinct at Foxwell Coomera, situated within the Coomera Town Centre Precinct.

Site works are well under way to deliver roads and infrastructure to the location of the proposed private hospital, which will provide 400 beds across two stages.

The 47.7ha Foxwell Coomera site is located adjacent to Westfield Coomera and Dreamworld, with direct access to the M1 and only 350 metres from Coomera Train Station.

Keylin Managing Director Louis Cheung said preferred operators have been short listed for the delivery of the 60,000sqm state-of-the-art hospital, which forms the foundation for Foxwell Coomera’s $1.5B master plan.

“Foxwell Coomera offers a unique opportunity to embed itself as a connected community of integrated lifestyle, health, wellness, and business experiences,” Mr Cheung said.

“We have engaged with Australia’s leading architects and hospital advisory firms to design a masterplan that deliver’s the region’s first comprehensive private hospital, with future stages to include campus-style allied health care, outpatient facilities, imaging, rehabilitation, and wellness services.

“We are also advancing concepts to support the inclusion of a swim school, childcare facilities, and family-focused recreation services with a strong focus on lifestyle and wellbeing.”

A convenience dining precinct is already under construction and an additional Development Application has been lodged this week for a proposed business precinct that includes a 3,600sqm commercial building, Karcher car wash, Caltex service station and three ‘pitstop-style’ retail tenancies.

Plans have also been lodged for the future thoroughfare to connect Coomera Sporting Hub and the Coomera Train Station and enable vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians to bypass Whitewater Way.

Kinstone Group Director, Tommy Hung said the joint venture is on program to deliver a fully serviced location for the future Private Hospital by December this year.

“The proposed private hospital complements the State Government’s plans to deliver the Northern Gold Coast’s first public hospital in Coomera, one of the fastest growing regions in Australia,” Mr Hung said.

“The scale of Foxwell Coomera, and its proximity to Coomera Train Station and the M1, presents an opportunity explore how health and wellness can coexist with future-focused commercial and residential spaces, as part of a truly connected community.

“The proposed private hospital is located on cleared land at the intersection of two new roads, Creek Road South and Wellness Way, enabling construction of the facility to be fast tracked.”

The Northern Gold Coast has experienced a 60% increase in population since 2015.  New research prepared by Urbis reveals the strong demand for health infrastructure in the area

According to the research, the Gold Coast North region currently has no hospitals or day surgeries to cater to a population of more than 160,000 people. In contrast, the Gold Coast South region, with a comparable population of approximately163,270, has six hospitals and day surgeries totalling 989 hospital beds.

Foxwell Coomera is the second JV by Keylin and Kinstone Group, who are delivering the $650 million Serenity 4212 master planned community in Helensvale.
