Stage 9 is a 2.2ha waterfront site adjoining Lake Serenity and Lake Serenity Boulevard, positioned between Serenity Waters and Stage 8. Under the original planning scheme for the master plan, which dates as far back as 20 years ago, this precinct had an existing approval for a four-storey, 50-room hotel.
In January 2022, Gold Coast City Council approved amendments to the Preliminary Approval for Stage 9 to remove the short term/tourist accommodation component, enabling the master plan to better respond to the evolving needs and growth of the area.
